Guests Pay $32,400 To Dine With President Obama

President Obama is definitely not a cheap date.
The Commander-in-Chief held a fundraising brunch Thursday (Apr. 4) in honor of the Democratic National Committee in Atherton, Calif. and the fee per plate was $32,400, the Seattle Post Intelligencer reports.

Though the fee to dine with the prez was quite steep, 30 people attended included Alen Levy and the "best-looking" attorney general Kamala Harris. The brunch took place at investment bossman Mark W. Heising's Northern California home complete with a vineyard, swimming pool, multiple gardens and a bocce property.
The location, however, was not the best part. The edible spread was to die for: fried quail eggs, citrus-covered salmon gravlax, Zuckerman's Farm asparagus tips, and Blackened Hibb's smoked bacon crisps.
During the brunch, Obama spoke on gun control and immigration reform. "I am very optimistic that we get immigration reform done in the next few months," he said. It will be, he added, “more difficult” to pass gun safety legislation.
This is the first fundraising event outside of Washington, D.C. that Obama has hosted since the start of his second term.
