The Brooklyn brethren has already worked with legendary hip-hop figures like DJ Premier and Pete Rock, so it’s only right the “Waves” rapper and Nas collaborate on a mellow, metaphorical Big Apple anthem for 2013.

The famed producer has worked with the likes of M.I.A., Chris Brown, Lil’ Wayne, Usher and now Snoop Lion. Diplo could produce a trippy yet rugged beat for the 39-year-old rapper..

How have these two rap icons gone this long in their respective games without going half on a song (production aside)? Em and Nas could rattle the rap game with a 32 bar square-off, since their remix of "Daughters" never materialized.
