Rick Ross still has some explaining to do after spitting this lyric that basically promotes date rape, on Rocko’s song, “U.N.E.N.O.”:
“Put molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it/I took her home
and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it.” Sure, Ross sent out the
above tweet-pology , but the MMG Bawse has yet to issue a heartfelt
statement taking ownership of his misguidance. Ross isn’t the only star
who’s issued a half-assed public apology. Click through for a brief
rundown of celebs who said, "Sorry?"
Kanye West to Matt Lauer
For: Saying, "George Bush doesn't care about black people," during a nationally televised Hurricane Katrina telethon
The Non Apology: "I would tell George Bush: In my moment of frustration, I didn't have the grounds to call him a racist. I believe that in a situation of high emotion like that, we as human beings don't always choose the right words. I definitely can understand the way he feels, to be accused of being a racist in any way, because the same thing happened to me, where I got accused of being a racist.”
Rihanna to Ciara
For: Her mean-girl tweets after Ciara dished to E!'s Fashion Police that Rih Rih once gave her the cold shoulder
The Non Apology: "Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I'm heartbroken! That's y I retaliated this way! So sorry! #letsmakeup"
Chris Brown to Good Morning America
For: Throwing a tantrum (and a chair) on the set of Good Morning America
The Non-Apology: “I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office; anybody who was offended and disappointed [by] my actions... I didn't physically hurt anyone. I didn't try to hurt anyone. I just wanted to release the anger that I had inside me because I felt that I worked so hard for this music and I felt like people kept just trying to take it away from me."
Steven Tyler to Nicki Minaj
For: Implying that she's not qualified to be an American Idol judge and that "if it was Bob Dylan [singing on stage], Nicki Minaj would have had him sent to the cornfield!"
The Non Apology: "I apologize if it was taken wrong, Nicki. I'm the last thing on this planet as far as being a racist. I don't know where she got that out of me saying, 'I'm not sure how she would have judged Bob Dylan.' I was just saying that if Bob Dylan came on the show, he would've been thrown off. Maybe I spoke out of turn, but a racist I'm not, Nicki."
Leann Rimes to Brandi Glanville
For: Dating Brandi's husband while they were still married
The Non Apology: "I did one of the most selfish things that I could possibly do, in hurting someone else. I take responsibili
Kanye West to Taylor Swift
For: Interrupting her on stage during the MTV VMAs
The Non Apology: “I feel like when Taylor was getting all those magazine covers, she was all good then. I feel completely empathetic and sympathize with that moment of her feeling bad, that spawned her to have one million magazine covers and be the most popular artist in the world, but in that moment of her feeling bad, I do feel bad about being the cause of that.”
Naomi Campbell to Police
For: Assaulting two cops after British Airways misplaced her luggage
The Non Apology: "I apologize profusely. As for British Airways, I don't apologize... I was called a racial name on that flight."
