It's
been seven years since former boy-band phenom Justin Timberlake's name
stood atop Billboard charts. But with his new album, The 20/20 Experience dropping on March 19, Billboard is reporting that the "Suit and Tie" crooner should break the half-million mark in sales.
The projections would give Timberlake his second No. 1 album on The Billboard 200 chart and could potentially eclipse the 684,000 mark he reached with FutureSex/Lo veSounds when the CD reaches retailers.
JT has been busy promoting the project for much of the new year, performing at the Grammys, hosting Saturday Night Live and making his rounds on late night talk shows. He'll be performing songs from the album on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon every evening this week and an upcoming tour with Jay-Z is also in the multitalente d singer's forecast.
If the figures crunch in Timberlake's favor, The 20/20 Experience could be the first album to sell over 500,000 copies since Drake's Take Care in 2011. The last title to surpass the half-million mark was released in November 2012.
