After coming up on a felony drug charge back in 2012, Cee-Lo Green entered a no contest plea in court in Los Angeles yesterday (Aug. 29), according the LA Times.
The former ‘The Voice’ judge was charged with furnishing a controlled substance after a woman reported that she was given ecstasy without her knowledge during a dinner. The singer originally pleaded not guilty, but switched his plea before a preliminary hearing - which would have presented evidence against him - proceeded.
Green escaped rape charges after his attorney assured that he had consensual sex with the woman. He was given 360 hours of community service, three years probation, allowing travel for work purposes. He is also required to attend 52 substance abuse therapy sessions. He will return to court in March to report his progress.
