Obama White House Beer Sold for $1,200 at Auction
You better believe presidential beer comes with an unbelievable price tag, but just how much?
In a recent charity auction a single bottle of home-brewed White House Honey Ale fetched $1,200. President Obama originally gave the brew to Brad Magerkurth, 42, last August while on the campaign trail in Knoxville, Iowa.
The Minnesota resident who is a home brewer and beer salesman donated his prized beer bottle to the University [of Minnesota's] Amplatz Children's Hospital auction.
A group of ten people chipped in to share the rare treasure, and cracked the beer open to share it on the stage.
Cheers to that!
