Why Women Cheat

In a committed relationship, nothing hurts more, or is harder to recover from than infidelity. The subject of infidelity and cheating partners have been picked apart to a point of exhaustion and most statistics claim, -as a lot of people agree- that more men than women are prone to cheating on their partners.
We cannot deny that female infidelity exist, in fact some claim that it is on the rise, but this trend does not seem to garner as much attention as when it comes to the opposite sex. These days, nothing gets more tongues wagging and more eyebrows raised than the news that a celebrity has been unfaithful.
Jude Law, Jesse James, Tony Parker, and Tiger Woods are very good examples. But shouldn’t we consider the fact that these men only made the news because they g0t caught?
Generally, female infidelity is more damaging to a relationship. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying male infidelity can’t be harmful, but when a woman cheats, it is often the death knell to a couple’s relationship. I came across a story earlier today in Daily Punch Newspaper, about a man who was apparently convinced that his wife was unfaithful, so much so that he attacked the poor woman with hot iron leaving her with severe burns and stab wounds.
You’d think that that is enough to calm his demons, nope. Allegedly, after attacking his wife, he also murdered their son just to drive his point home. Well, if I’m an adulterous wife and I come across something like this, I’d immediately retrace my steps, cover my tracks and make absolutely sure that no evidence of my infidelity will ever be found out.
The truth is that, women have always lied about their sex lives. We’ve been taught to lie from childhood especially in a matter of things that are sexually-related. From the 16-year-old who swears to her father that she’s never been kissed, to the 23-year-old woman who states convincingly to the man, on the first date that she’s only ever had one sexual partner, we get better at lying to protect our virtue as we grow.
It is therefore obvious that while men might exaggerate their sexual conquests, the bigger liars are women. Why do women lie? Because we must, and because we can. In spite of apparent equality and a more sexually open society, we are still more harshly judged for our sex lives than men. I mean, can you imagine a leading female politician having an affair and her husband standing loyally by her?
Due to the fact that a woman’s infidelity can be hugely detrimental to the relationship and her life in general, I think it is safe to say that she would probably go an extra length to hide her secret affairs from her partner. Isn’t the fact that the late Hollywood actress, Farrah Fawcett succeeded in having a secret affair for eleven years without getting caught, proof that women really are capable of more than we think? In fact, the actress literally took that secret to the grave as the affair was only made public shortly after her death.
Yes, both sexes are prone to cheating, perhaps it’s true that more men do cheat, but the age old philosophical question applies here;
“If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?”
So, the question is this, are men really more likely to cheat, or are women just better at hiding their indiscretions?

Beyonce for 2013 Superbowl Promo and Commercials

Beyonce is leading the charge for this years superbowl commercials and that's her promo picture. Last year's Super Bowl halftime show drew an estimated 4 million viewers in addition to the almost 110 million people that watched the game itself! That’s right: nearly four million more people tuned in to watch Madonna perform. This year, mega-superstar singer Beyoncé Knowles will be headlining the halftime show.

Like I confessed in my superbowl commercial post last year, I do not follow American football, nor do I watch the superbowl, but since moving to the US, I've gone from complete ignorance, to at least knowing what it's all about. And the major thing I like about the whole media blitz that comes along with the finals is the ad segment. Below are some of my favorite ads out so far for the 2013 Superbowl.

First look at Kim Kardashian's growing baby bump

While in her new job, she met, Teju, a dashing young man who had come to watch the Osun Osogbo featival with his fiancee. MAKEUP TIPS ON HOW TO HIDE YOUR FLAWS AND LOOK BEAUTIFUL

Are wrinkles, age spots and dark circles making you look older than you feel? Blemishes got you feeling like a teenager again...in the worst way? As every woman knows that corrective and perfect makeup is very helpful for hiding the flaws. Makeup can do wonders on your face. With makeup you can accentuate your favorite feature and also camouflage your least favorite features.
Bebeakinboade.com reveals makeup tips to hide your flaws and look beautiful.
START WITH PRIMER: If you're going to buy only one new product, make it a primer. These multi-purpose wonders moisturize skin, as well as creating a flawless canvas that anchors foundation.
Makeup primer is one of those beauty secrets that can make a big difference in the look and wear of your makeup. It preps your skin for makeup and creates a smooth base that makeup can adhere well to. If you’ve tried a foundation that looks fantastic only to be disappointed with the results, using makeup primers can make a big difference. Even if you are happy with the foundation you are currently using, a layer of cosmetics primer underneath can bring it to a whole new level.

FLAWLESS FOUNDATION:  Foundation is a standard part of most women’s makeup routines, but applying it is not as simple as you may think. Most women spend a lifetime searching for the perfect foundation that won’t cake, crease or clog pores. The newest foundations put light-reflecting technology centre stage, with impressive results. Uses pigments and molecules to bounce light and achieve a flawless finish.

DON’T FORGET CONCEALER: If there's anything worth investing in for flawless skin, concealer is one of these secret face makeup weapons.  Make sure the concealer matches your skin. See how it looks in bright light or sunlight. It should blend so well that it seems transparent on the skin, yet it hides the desired areas. A more natural look is when you use sheer layers. If you use it on blemishes, be sure to add a dab of face powder on top or the highlighting concealer will draw attention to them.

METALLIC EYELINER: Metallic Eyeliner gives your eye that extra sparkle to emphasize your eyes. The chrome effect of a  Metallic Eyeliner makes your eyes gleam and just puts you in the spotlight like a true rock star!

SHIMMERING EYE SHADOW: If you're a fan of shimmering eye shadow, it's easy to overdo it when you wear those sparkly shades by day. Still, there are some ways to show off your glamorous side with a touch of shimmer. The key to making a shimmering eye shadow work by day is to stick with neutral color palettes and steer clear of shadows infused with glitter altogether. Pearl shadows and some mineral shadows can help to create a toned-down version of your favorite nighttime look.
PERFECT YOUR POUT: Glosses are the conventional go-to for boosting lips as they reflect more light than lipsticks. But they can look a bit teenage. New generation lippies, offer serious shine and strong, lasting colour, so you get the same effect without a gloopy gloss.
FINISHING TOUCHES: Powder is used to mattify, but a dewy finish is more youthful — there's no danger of that powdery-old-lady look. The latest products offer the best of both worlds with silica-based formulations that moisturize skin.
Silica-based foundation is a type of makeup that works by applying a shining and smoothing agent to the facial skin, as well as a moisture sealant. Essentially, it is used as a base to smooth and even skin lines and tones. This type of foundation is often favored for a long-lasting or specialized look, as it tends to produce a smooth and unblemished canvas from which to begin applying other makeup.
Silicone foundation is typically used by women with normal to dry, as it holds in moisture. It typically is avoided by women with oily skin, as it will prevent excess moisture from escaping.

Rihanna talks Chris Brown with Rolling Stone magazine

Rihanna is on the cover of this month's Rolling Stone magazine talking about her relationship with Chris Brown

She says no one, not even her BFF Melissa was allowed to talk to her about Chris Brown.
“I just felt like, why bother? Nobody else is going through it. Nobody would understand.”
Is Rihanna mad at Chris Brown?
“I wanted him to know what it felt like to lose me. To feel the consequences of that. So when that (stuff) came back it hit me like a ton of bricks. Like, God, you’ve got to be kidding right now. But I got real with myself, and I just couldn’t bury the way I felt.”
See more after the cut...

Did she think she would be criticized by the public when she reunited with Chris?
“But I decided it was more important for me to be happy, and I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”

“When you add up the pieces from the outside, it’s not the cutest puzzle in the world. You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now. We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about (stuff). We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that.”
Does she think Chris Brown changed since beating her?
“I know it comes off like that. And it doesn’t help. For a long time he was really angry, and he felt like he couldn’t get away from it, no matter what he did. But there’s so many reasons why I ever reconsidered having him in my life. He’s not the monster everybody thinks. He’s a good person. He has a fantastic heart. He’s giving and loving. And he’s fun to be around. That’s what I love about him – he always makes me laugh. All I want to do is laugh, really – and I do that with him.”

“Of course everybody has their opinion about him, because of what he’s done. That will always be there. But he made a mistake, and he’s paid his dues. He’s paid so much. And I know that’s not a place he would ever want to go back to. And sometimes people need support and encouragement, instead of ridicule and criticism and bashing.”
Does she support Chris?
“Wait. You think I’m here to rehabilitate Chris? No, no, no. That is not my purpose. Trust me. I could have done that from the jump if I thought that was my job. My job was to take care of myself – and I did. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t think Chris was ready. . . ”
“I know. And trust me – it makes me feel great to know that people care. I guess it’s just something that will show with time. There’s nothing I could say that would convince you right now. But we’re in a great place. And I can’t ever see us going back.”
On how much she will put up with from Chris Brown going forward:
“Listen, I’ll tell you right now: I don’t have to take it. If he gives me that again, here’s what I give him: nothing. I just walk away. He doesn’t have that luxury of f**king up again. That’s just not an option. I can’t say that nothing else will go wrong. But I’m pretty solid in knowing that he’s disgusted by that. And I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility.”

MEND Threat: Jomo Gbomo says Nigerians should disregard it

Another faction of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) led by Jomo Gbomo released a statement yesterday asking Nigerians to disregard the recent threat by a  self-acclaimed leader of the group, Comrade Azizi, to unleash  mayhem in Nigeria following the jailing of Henry Okah by a South African court for terrorism.

Jomo Gbomo says it's all hogwash. See his statement below...
"The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) wishes to advise Nigerians and the media to disregard the pathetic attempt at propaganda by a so-called Comrade Azizi and his statements which are not authentic and statements emanating from MEND.
"As claimed by this Comrade Azizi, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) would like to clarify the following....

"Mr Henry Okah is NOT and has never been viewed as the leader or founder of MEND but rather known as a sympathiser and supporter of our cause.

"Our fighters are freedom fighters who are fighting for justice, the emancipation of the Niger Delta and control of our God given resources and not assassins as stated by this so-called Comrade Azizi.

"Our struggle is NOT and has never been about the disintegration of Nigeria or a North and South fight as stated by this so-called Comrade Azizi.

"With regards to the trial, judgement and sentencing of Henry Okah and other Niger Delta indigenes, we will issue a full formal statement in due course stating our views and plans for the future.

"The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) would once again strongly urge Nigerians and the media to disregard any statement from this person," Gbomo said in the statement.

Chris Brown Quits social media

More like he quit Instagram because his Twitter account is still up. The singer deleted his Instagram page yesterday night after being ruthless bashed online for comparing himself to Jesus in the wake of his fist fight with Frank Ocean. Chris posted the photo on the right yesterday after he was criticized for fighting Ocean. He felt he was being crucified and judged like Jesus. The insults that followed after he posted the photo was too much for him and he deleted all the photos on his Instagram page...but not before notifying his fans of his departure...
"I would like to thank all my wonderful fans for letting me express my talents/art for you all. But social media takes away the essence of why we are even special or icons. So with that, I'm detaching myself from that world."
"Elevate yourself above the negative and if it doesn't work move on! I respect myself enough as well as my fans to wanna be great!"

Is this the real Emmanuel Eboue dissing Nigerians on Twitter?

I'm beginning to think that this may not be the real Emmanuel Eboue, though quite a number of people believe it's him.

The Ivory coast football player (if it's really him) is taking his criticism of the Super Eagles to another level by slamming and insulting Nigeria as a whole. See his Tweets below.

This is a bit too much, right?
