G-Unit Affiliate Mazaradi Fox Gunned Down And Murdered In Queens
Former G-Unit rapper Mazaradi Fox was shot and killed on Friday (Jan. 3) afternoon in Springfield Gardens, Queens, New York. He was 42 years old.
Fox, born Jamal Green, was sitting inside a white SUV with his 20-year-old daughter when a masked gunman approached and shot up the vehicle. The shooting occurred at around 4:10PM. Four people were hit according to the This Is 50 website, including Fox, his daughter and two other men, one who was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, and the other in stable condition. Fox's daughter suffered a graze wound to the neck, while Fox died on the scene, stumbling out of the car and collapsing in a nearby driveway. He had only been home from prison a few weeks, after serving time for attempted assault.
The suspect reportedly took off in a black Hyundai Sonata.
Mazaradi Fox, the leader of the The Dumouts movement, and 50 Cent had been friends for years. Fox had appeared on several tracks with Fif and in G-Unit videos. 50 Cent was in his New York City studio when he heard the news. Both he and Tony Yayo took to Twitter to share their condolences.
"STOP THE VIOLENCE SAVE OUR CHILDREN BURY THE BEEF," reads the heading atop the late rapper's Twitter page, suggesting he was trying to turn a new leaf. RIP.
